Training and Professional Development
I provide training and professional development for schools and education professionals who would like to deepen their understanding of dyslexia, cognition and learning, and other specific learning difficulties. Sessions are designed to support teachers and teaching assistants in developing practical strategies that help pupils access learning more effectively.
Drawing on my experience as a class teacher, Deputy SENCo, and specialist assessor, the training focuses on developing confidence in recognising learning needs, including difficulties with language, memory, processing, and attention, while implementing effective classroom strategies. Sessions are practical, engaging, and tailored to each school’s needs, helping staff develop approaches that support pupils with dyslexia while benefiting all learners.
Training can be delivered as whole-school INSET, twilight sessions, or small-group workshops, and can be adapted for both primary and secondary settings.
